As part of the Trim Trio product family, the UTL series is compatible with any Trim Trio contacts including stamped and formed, screw machined, coaxial, and fiber optic. Souriau-Sunbank by Eaton offers stamped and formed contacts on a reel for high quantity, cost efficient manufacturing or in loose piece packaging for prototypes and smaller production needs. Souriau-Sunbank by Eaton also offers screw machined contacts on reels or in bulk packaging as well. Plating options are available from a range of tin, heavy gold, and gold flash to accommodate transmission of low voltage signals or power up to 16 A. The various UTL contact options will accommodate any cable type such as Cat5e, 3+ground and wire ranging from 28 gauge to 14 gauge. If an application involves a panel using multiple connectors for signal and power, the same UTL connector can be used to leverage higher volume pricing and only the contacts need to be changed. Souriau-Sunbank by Eaton has developed a brand new contact with o-ring feature to effectively seal cavities. When using these contacts with the panel mount receptacles, it improves the waterproof performance up to IP68/69K in unmated conditions. This offers the unique benefit of protecting the device from water, tampering, or situations where an end-user might forget to install the sealing cap when the device is not in use.
