EOS and ESD Difference

The difference between ESD and EOS lies in the source of their occurrence. For example, ESD mainly comes from the discharge of electrostatic charges accumulated by the human body and cables. Therefore, the duration of the transient is mainly within the nano second. The EOS mainly comes from lightning strikes and unstable spikes on the power line. It has greater surge energy than ESD, and its time range is above a micro second.
