WorkBench-IO™ Electronics Project Development Kit

WorkBench by Phase Dock Inc. is an ecosystem of mechanical components that greatly accelerate and simplify the creation of electronics projects and prototypes. Think of it as a breadboard of breadboards. Finally, there is a way to easily and securely mount, manage, and organize electronic components. The customer provides the electronics and Phase Dock provides everything else to make the project look amazing and professional.

The Phase Dock WorkBench gives students, engineers, and hobbyists the ability to rapidly arrange and organize components for an optimal layout. Assembled projects stay securely in place whether stored in an engineering lab, at home, or even in a backpack. These are clear advantages over plywood platforms, plastic shoe boxes, or other ad hoc prototyping platforms.

Phase Dock Matrix and Click connectors establish a standard interface. The Matrix is an open-standard pattern of holes, precision laser-cut into a WorkBench Base. WorkBench Bases come in many shapes and sizes for desk-top work, field project deployment, or wall-mounted showcases.

Users attach electronic components (such as microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, relays, etc.) onto the Click. Once mounted, the component now has a standardized attachment capability and is better protected. Any Click-mounted component can be snapped onto the WorkBench Matrix, in any location or orientation. It stays securely in place unless deliberately released by the user.

• WorkBench 1007 project development kit (PDK) is the most popular-sized platform. In addition to the Base in a choice of four colors, the kit includes a clear cover and a selection of the most frequently used Click connectors and Slide adapters for popular PCBs. • WorkBench 1007 starter kit gets users started with full functionality and less investment. The starter kit includes a Base and a selection of the most frequently used Click connectors and Slide adapters for popular PCBs. If a cover is not required, the starter kit is the way to go. • WorkBench-IO starter PDK helps keep a work area efficient and orderly. It has the full functionality of the WorkBench starter kit, plus Phase Dock’s exclusive integrated organizer tacklebox to organize and protect components not yet installed. • WorkBench 1010 PDK is the largest Base offered, with about 33% more work surface than the 1007. It is perfect for larger or more complex projects and comes with a cover and more Click connectors and Slide adapters. Mfg Part #: 10104
• WorkBench 1107W weatherproof kit is the smallest Base with the biggest potential for outdoor or large robotics projects. Designed to fit a weatherproof enclosure, the kit includes two Click connectors and a choice of Arduino or Raspberry Pi Slide adapter. Mfg Part #: 10101-A or 10101-RP

Additional Click connectors are available in nine different sizes. There are Slide adapters for a range of popular PCBs. All standard WorkBench products are offered on DigiKey.com. WorkBench is designed for hackability and invites users to fully leverage the Phase Dock mounting standard matrix.
