GW16159 Wi-Fi HaLow M.2 Card

The Gateworks robust SBC platform and M.2 wireless module allows the evaluation of Wi-Fi HaLow in industrial environments

Image of Gateworks GW16159 Wi-Fi HaLow M.2 CardThe Gateworks Corporation GW16159 Wi-Fi HaLow M.2 card features the Silex SX-SDMAH module powered by the Morse Micro MM6108 system on chip (SoC). This radio card supports the Wi-Fi HaLow (802.11ah) standard, offering long-range, low-power wireless communication in the sub-GHz spectrum. It is ideal for Industrial IoT (IIoT), smart transportation, factory automation, energy, and asset tracking applications.

Wi-Fi HaLow overcomes many of the limitations of traditional Wi-Fi and LPWAN technologies by combining kilometer-range communication, high data throughput, and IP-native networking in a single solution. It supports hundreds of nodes per access point. It penetrates concrete, walls, and metal-heavy environments, making it uniquely suited for large-scale industrial deployments where LoRa, BLE, or Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz fall short.

Wi-Fi HaLow offers sub-GHz operation for enhanced range and wall penetration while supporting high network capacity and ultra-low power consumption. This GW16159 Wi-Fi HaLow M.2 card allows developers and system integrators to bring these benefits to edge devices, sensor networks, and rugged embedded systems.
