Ultra-Low IQ TCR3UG and TCR3UM Low-Dropout Regulators

Toshiba’s LDO voltage regulators have excellent quiescent currents in extremely small packages

Image of Toshiba TCR3UG Low-Dropout RegulatorsToshiba's LDO technology has created a series of extremely low quiescent current LDOs in the smallest 300 mA packages available on the market. These LDOs are a great choice for low-cost and compact systems. Low IQ current (0.38 μA typical) can preserve the battery life of single-cell Li-ion batteries, for example, when powering "always-on systems" or maintaining "standby mode". Characteristics such as PSRR (70 dB) and transient response (<60 mV) are not sacrificed either, providing users with ideal LDOs with great performance in a small package with low quiescent current.

TCR3UG is packaged in a small 0.65 mm x 0.65 mm x 0.33 mm WCSP4F package which has a 0.35 mm ball pitch. This is an industry-standard package that is designed to maximize board space.

TCR3UM is featured in a more rugged, industry-standard 1.0 mm x 1.0 mm x 0.58 mm DFN4 package which allows for easier handling and soldering.

The TCR3UG and TCR3UM series LDOs are the ideal voltage regulators for any design, especially in applications where long life and low quiescent current are important.
