Image of CUI Devices' AMT Modular Commutation Encoders CUI Devices' AMT31 and AMT33 series are rugged, high accuracy encoders that generate standard U/V/W signals for commutating brushless DC motors. These series are designed to address a number of challenges encountered in BLDC applications. Thanks to their innovative AMT platform, the AMT31 and AMT33 series are not susceptible to contaminants such as dirt, dust, and oil that typically plague encoders in industrial environments. The AMT design also simplifies the assembly process, removing the need to conduct back-EMF, and allowing multiple parameters, including pole count, commutation angle, and zero position, to be set via GUI or the encoder's serial interface. Combined with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, high accuracy, a compact package, and low current draw, the AMT31 and AMT33 encoders provide a compelling solution for a range of industrial, automation, robotics, and renewable energy applications.
