10 Gigabit Ethernet Support on iWave’s Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC SOM

This device family features many Quad A53 Core options, Dual R5 Core options, and GPU support. In addition, this device features Programmable Logic Cells (192K to 1153K LEs) with High-Speed transceivers (16.3 Gbps) in a single chip and rated for the industrial temperature range needed for deployed applications.

iWave has implemented Xilinx 10 Gigabit Ethernet Media Access Controller (10GEMAC) inside the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC SOM. The Xilinx XAPP1305: PL 10G Ethernet Reference Design is a highly reliable and flexible solution, providing all MAC, PCS, PMA or SGMII functions. In addition to being compliant to the IEEE 802.3-2012 specification, this reference design consists of an encrypted design library, detailed application note, and user configuration GUI software.
Using iWave’s Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC Development Kit, a customer can easily build a 10G Ethernet Solution with the provided base FPGA reference design. The 10G Ethernet architecture implementation is shown in Figure 2.
