The Internet of Things – What is the IoT – Part 2 of 2

This training module will provide a framework on how to think about the Internet of Things. While there have been Machine to Machine available for quite while, what is new is the increased availability of connectivity and applications to allow new uses for the M2M data. In it’s most simple form, the Internet of Things (IoT) consists of three elements: sensors and devices (M2M) which are data and devices communicating data, transporting data to a database, and people and processes using the data to make a decision about action.
