Descubrimientos de nuevos productos: módulo SparkFun Artemis y Nordic Thingy:91

In this New Product Discovery, we wanted to bring you some exciting new development platforms that can really take you from test to solution in a flash. First up, the Artemis Module from SparkFun Electronics is a low-power, machine learning Cortex-M4F with BLE 5.0. This powerful module is TensorFlow compatible for easy model building and debugging.

The Artemis is the world’s very first US manufactured, open-source hardware RF module that enables both BLE and voice recognition to receive FCC, IC, and CE Certification; in other words, it’s the first open-source BLE module to bridge the market from Maker to Consumer.

To more easily test the module, SparkFun created Artemis versions of the RedBoard, Thing Plus, ATP, Nano, and Edge 2.

Next is the Thingy:91 cellular IoT development board from Nordic Semiconductor. This platform provides the user with LTE-M and NB-IoT cellular, multiple sensors, GPS, and the option to add BLE using the nRF52840 multiprotocol SoC.

The Thingy:91 comes with a preloaded asset tracking application and a global use SIM card from iBasis with a 10 MB data plan included free of charge.

Both of these products are focused on getting your proof of concept demos and prototypes up and running quickly so you can get to production as fast as possible.
