Knowles Precision Devices responds to the growing demand for high-energy, reliable, and compact converters in electric vehicles (EVs) and other industrial and energy applications by developing components, such as multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs). They have extended the range and performance of their Class I Ceramic C0G series capacitors designed for resonant circuits in power converter applications. Knowles understands the conditions MLCCs face in the field, so their updates focus on reducing losses and increasing thermal efficiency to improve overall performance.

  • Low dissipation and ESR to prevent the capacitor from overheating
  • Superior ESR performance across the frequency range 100 kHz to 500 kHz
  • AEC-Q200 qualified options for automotive and industrial-grade applications
  • Capacitor range: Up to 33 nF in 1210 630 V, 12 nF in 1210 1200 V
  • Voltage rating: Wide selection of case sizes, 1210 with voltage rating up to 1.2 kV
  • Temperature range: MLCCs can withstand temperature cycling up to 1,000 cycles, not exceeding 1,000 cycles without cracking; temperature coefficient of 0±30 ppm/°C
