Options for a Switch in Sound Application

Hi Guys,

so my Im helping a friend out on something. He needs to control multiple guitar effect pedals through a master Tap Tempo. From what I understood, these pedals are usually designed to have an external foot switch per pedal. A 3 pole switch was used before for three pedals, but for more than three, what would be the best choice as a switch?

I was advised to use a relay and put them in series to control the pedals. Would this be a good idea? The idea was to use a reay as a simple N.O/C switch, just so the relay output will mirror the input, serving as a simple momentary switch. What do you think?

I am not that familiar with the circuitry of a tap tempo but I believe it sends a low current signal about 5-9V, so the relays would not need to handle high current.

There are parts I'm not entirely sure with, so I may not be saying this as best i should.
