Tensility’s core strengths are in two major product lines: dc power cables and audio cables. Digi-Key’s line of Tensility cables covers most standard applications. However, Tensility specializes in creating a cable specifically designed for a customer’s application. If a cord is too short or long, or the connector needs to be modified, Tensility will facilitate the process of specifying the exact cable for any application.
Tensility also supplies a wide variety of more unusual cables, from customized overmolded wire harnesses to highly complex assemblies. Since each product is built to order, including the cables built for Digi-Key to complement their connector products, understanding and executing a customer’s needs is Tensility’s top priority.
Bio-compatible TPU Wires
Tensility’s bio-compatible wearable wires are small, soft and flexible, extruded using TPU material tested to ISO 10993 standards for skin irritation.
Molding Style Connectors
Tensility International now offers molding style DC power jacks and mating spring-contact plugs which are designed with a spring contact plug.
High Current DC Cable Assemblies
Tensility's DC cable assemblies have a sleek, new design that includes spring contacts that ensure a secure connection and support high current ratings up to 7 A, 12 V DC.
AC Power Cords
Tensility's AC power cords have a higher temperature rating over other standard options and are offered in the colors black and white.
USB Adapter Cables
Tensility's USB adapter cables are a solution for change between two different USB connector types or as a short cable solution for board mounted applications.
