Replacing MLCCs with Tantalum Capacitors

This presentation will provide a brief overview of ceramic and tantalum capacitors, and how tantalum capacitors can replace most MLCC capacitors. This training module will also provide some comparison examples between the ceramic and tantalum capacitors. Due to industry wide shortage of MLCC capacitors, designers are looking for alternatives to MLCC’s. Tantalum capacitors are very similar to MLCC’s and provide more benefits to the designers.
