Grabber and hook style test clip products are used to make temporary electrical connections, commonly using a J or hook-shaped contact that makes electrical contact with a conductor while also providing mechanical attachment under spring tension. They are generally better adapted to gripping small conductors than alligator test clips, though they also tend to be more fragile and susceptible to damage.
