Image of t-Global Technology’s TG-A Series Thermally Conductive Silicone PadsTG-A series is the latest addition to t-Global Technology’s product portfolio and incorporates the latest innovations in passive thermal management while continuing to be a cost-effective solution for applications with high power densities. The series features 11 thermal pads, including t-Global's highest thermally conductivity silicone pad yet (TG-A1780) with a value of 17.8 W/mK. It also features t-Global's softest ever pad (TG-A2200) with a hardness of 15 Shore 00. The low hardness of all the TG-A series pads allows surface imperfections at the interface to be effectively filled, reducing thermal impedance and allowing maximum heat transfer from source to sink. Low hardness is critical in ensuring that component stresses are also minimized during assembly. Three of the TG-A series pads (TG-A3500, TG-A4500, and TG-A6200) have fiberglass-reinforced options (TG-A3500F, TG-A4500F, and TG-A6200F) for when extra tensile strength is required for large and/or delicate shapes or where rework is necessary. The TG-A series has been designed to have an inherent natural tackiness to the material, disposing of the need for additional adhesives that add cost and impede heat transfer. TG-A series parts are available die-cut for ease of manufacture and in thickness ranging from 0.5 mm up to 8 mm.
