Image of Souriau's MIL-DTL-38999 Series I, II, III Souriau's 8LT and 8T connector series are suited to withstand the most severe requirements of aerospace industries and military applications such as civil and military aerospace, communication equipment, ballistic missiles and weapon systems, tanks, and test equipment. The 8T connectors (MIL-DTL-38999 series II compliant) provide an extreme compact solution which fits all the box architecture and offers a real place optimization. With a large contact layout (from 1 to 28 contacts), 11 different shells available, and 43 layouts (from size 8 to 24), 8T connectors address applications requiring high-density connection systems. The 8T connectors are available with RoHS plating (black zinc nickel). The 8LT connectors (MIL-DTL-38999 series I compliant) offer a large selection of contact arrangements, similar design to 38999 series III, with maximum weight and space savings. The 8LT connectors are available with RoHS plating (cadmium free). Both 8LT and 8T connectors have a Zn Ni RoHS alternative to cadmium which is the most cost effective solution for a cadmium alternative finish.

Souriau's 8D series are high reliability connectors, compliant to the main standards (MIL-DTL-38999 series III, EN3645, BACC63) and answer the most stringent requirements in harsh environments. Available in five high end materials and five platings (8D aluminum, 8D composite, 8D titanium, 8D stainless steel, and 8D bronze), the 8D series connectors fit all the corrosion, shock, endurance, or firewall capability you will encounter. A full range of contacts are also available with 8D connectors such as signal transmission, high speed data transmission (quadrax, twinax, coax, ELIO®). Fifty-four QPL layouts are available in accordance with MIL-STD-1560. 8D hermetic connector options are also available. The 8D series is compliant with the MIL standard connector design with unique self-locking mechanism (patented by SOURIAU), visual mating indication, scoop proof, quick screw coupling, and 360° shielding. The patented self-locking system and the metallic contact retention clip technology make the product perfect for high vibration applications or rough handling in the field. 8D connectors have a Zn Ni RoHS alternative to cadmium which is the most cost effective solution for a cadmium alternative finish.
