Image of Microsemi SoC's MPF300-VIDEO-KIT Video and Imaging Kit The PolarFire™ video and imaging kit from Microsemi offers a high-performance evaluation of 4K image processing and rendering using dual camera sensors as well as numerous display interfaces. The kit is purpose-built for effortless prototyping of popular imaging and video protocols including MIPI CSI-2 TX, MIPI CSI-2 RX, HDMI 1.4 TX, HDMI2.0, DSI, and HD/3G SDI. The kit features a 300K logic element (LE) PolarFire FPGA with DDR4 and SPI flash, making it ideally suited for mid-bandwidth imaging and video applications. The on-board PolarFire device optimizes input/outputs (I/Os), transceiver rates, look-up table (LUT4) architecture, memories, and DSPs for mid-density/mid-bandwidth ranges to deliver a superior solution at much lower power and lower total cost of ownership.

The kit is part of Microsemi's broader smart embedded vision solution to open new possibilities for implementing systems that rely on visual data to make decisions across a broad spectrum of applications like drones, machine vision, thermal imaging, gaming, video surveillance, robotics, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), machine learning, and HMI. The rich feature set MPF300-VIDEO-KIT offers makes it ideal for drones, home automation, image processing, surveillance, medical imaging, and video broadcasting applications.
