This demonstration of the NCL30080, NCL30081, NCL30082, NCL30083 LED driver solutions - PWM current mode controllers targeting isolated flyback and non−isolated constant current topologies used in general lighting applications. The controller operates in a quasi−resonant mode to provide high efficiency. Thanks to a novel control method, this solution eliminates the need for an optocoupler, as well as secondary side analog and discrete circuitry while maintaining tight regulation accuracy on the primary side control. This innovative solution reduces parts count, while simplifying LED selection, saving board space, increasing efficiency and easily addresses safety compliance. Less
