The STM32F4DISCOVERY from STMicroelectronics helps designers to explore the STM32F4 high-performance features and develop applications.  This board is based on the STM32F407VGT6 and includes an ST-LINK/V2 embedded debug tool, two ST MEMS, digital accelerometer and digital microphone, one audio DAC with integrated class D speaker driver, LEDs and push buttons and an USB OTG micro-AB connector.

ST's 8-bit microcontroller platform is implemented around a high-performance 8-bit core and a state-of-the-art set of peripherals.  This platform is manufactured using an ST-proprietary 130 nm embedded non-volatile memory technology.  The STM8 allows fast and safe development through enhanced stack pointer operations, advanced addressing modes and new instructions.

The STM8 platform supports four main product series:

• STM8L, ultra-low-power EnergyLite™ MCU
• STM8A, automotive MCU
• STM8T, touch-sensing MCU 

The 16-Bit ST10 family from STMicroelectronics', based around the ST10 CPU core, adds DSP functionality on an MCU for high-performance, real-time applications. The ST10 provides up to 828KB embedded Flash, 68KB RAM, up to 64MHz operating frequency, 5V single supply with on-chip regulator, 5 general purpose timers, 8PWM channels, two USARTs, I2C, and 2 CAN interfaces. ROMless versions are also available for external memory flexibility.

The STM32 family of 32-bit Flash Microcontrollers is based on the breakthrough ARM Cortex™-M3 core - a core specifically developed for embedded applications. With I/O pin counts to 112, the family also features Flash memory to 512KB and RAM to 64KB. Fast communications are also possible with high-speed serial connections through a 4Mbps UART, 18Mbps SPI, USB, and the ability to toggle the I/O pins at up to 18MHz.
