Hi guys, I have a quick question.
I have a device that is has a ceiling of 120C while running 200A on it. From ambient temperature it takes about 4 minutes to reach 120C and another 20minutes to go back to ambient.
How would you calculate the Duty Cycle provided you have interval time of, say, X inbetween?

Well, a duty cycle is the percentage at which the device is On from the entire duration the device is on... so in this case it would simple be (4/(4+20+x))*100
However, is this rate constant? I mean while it was cooling down you could turn it back on and right before it gets too hot, turn it back off again. Im sure that matters but not sure how...
Lets see if anyone has more answers.
