Entry Level for an Electrical Engineer

Hi guys,

I have a cousin who has a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters specializing in Power Systems. He taught for a while but stopped working for a couple of years for family reasons. Now he wants to come back to the work force. What would be the best first step? Any training courses that you can suggest for him to take to be competetive?

Entry Level for an Electrical Engineer

    Hi John,

your question has a lot of factors. It really depends on where you are from. Different countries have different economies and thus different job opportunities. Some jobs that are hot in one may not be popular in your area. Also, even though he won't on a hiatus, your cousin has a Masters so he has a lot of options. Another thing that came to mind is what your cousin finds most fullfilling, during the time that he spent away from work, I would like to think that he decidedd for himself what field he would like to pursue.

In any case, try the IEEE website . it might have content that you may find helpful.

    Good luck to your cousin.
