Form A, B, or C?

What does it mean when reed sensors are refered to as 'Form A', 'Form B' or 'Form C'?

Form A, B, or C?

It's describing the form of the contacts.

1 Form A = Normally Open (SPST)

1 Form B = Normally Closed (SPST)

1 Form C = Normally Open/Closed (SPDT)
