Freescale is now offering a nice motor control development kit. The MTRCKTDPS5643L motor control development kit targets automotive applications using two permenent magnet motors, like active suspension or electric powertrain. The kit uses a 32-bit Qorivva MPC5643L microcontroller and a 3-phase low-voltage power stage board. It features application software for a complete reference implementation of the application and takes advantage of the Automotive Math and Motor Control Library Set. It supports low-voltage PMSM motors with resolver and encoder sensors.
The microcontroller has dual e200 Z4 CPU architecture and ISO 26262 functional safety safey standard certification. It has FlexRay and CAN ports and 1 Mbyte of flash with error correction coding on RAM.
