Strangest design you've ever worked on?

I thought it would be fun to have a little one-upsmanship by discussing the strangest design you've ever worked on.  I'll have the first go of it...

Several years ago we were approached to design a pressure controller that was activited via a radio link.  A serial command was to be received via RF and the controller would begin implementing a timed on-off pattern.  The apparatus looked kind of like a blood pressure kit.  When the switch was on a band was pressurized, when it was off the band relaxed.  There were also internal timers that would trigger the on-off pattern if no radio command was received.  It turned out the thing was to be attached to livestock tails to test whether or not the pattern of squeezing would stimulate a hunger response.  Not sure who got the job to clean them and change the batteries.  Even more unsure who came up with the idea in the first place.
