What is the minimum pin depth for the connectors (male to female). I am designing a box and at present I have .180" and the connector drawing shows .232" depth of the connector. Will I see any side effects from this? what is the manufacturers specification on minimum pin depth. We secure with a .187" x .187" (3/16 x 3/16) jack screw. Please advise and Thank You

From what I see the measurement should be 0.018” before the pin starts to make contact so at 0.180” pin length the pin is making contact with 0.162” of the socket, which should be sufficient.  – But take this with a grain of salt as I could not find any dimensional specs on this part specifically and had to go by the MIL standard.  These are parts are built for interoperability, but there is always a chance that it won’t work.  Degradations in performance would probably be more dependent on environment than contact area when you are securing it with the jack screws, but the only way to know for sure though is to test it out yourself.
