bulbs for electric eye lights

If a fixture uses flood light bulbs and has a photo eye to turn it on amd off, can it use regular light bulbs?

ah that would be a yes, however it would not be as bright. flood lights have a higher wattage then regular incandescent bulbs also they have a focused beam.
