AC/DC Converter for 120-600V varying input

Hi guys, I have a problem that I need your help with. I have an AC/DC converter on my board with a max input of 277V, 70-80mA and 60Hz. However, as the title suggests, my input varies from 120 to 600V.

I was thinking that would need a way to detect the input if it is above or below the max input of my converter, let the voltages below 277 to pass and adjust those above it. Is that approach viable?

Another thought came to me is that I would need two converters, one that would handle the lower half and another for the upper half. And maybe a relay circuit to detect which is which and what converter the input should go. Is this a good approach?

What are your thoughts? and possible resources that may help me along the way. Thanks!
