I just ordered in several values of surface mount resistors, 0805 size, and realized that most of them no longer have the resistance value printed on them.
Is this just the one company getting cheap (Yageo) or is this going to be the new industry standard; no more markings on smt resistors?
This is going to make checking and troubleshooting a lot more difficult in the future.
I have not seen an SMT resistor with markings for quite some time.
So its not just Yageo then? I was planning to trash the Yageo resistors and reorder some other brand.
There are about 20 other lines of 1% 0805 resistors that Digikey carries.
Does anyone know if any of the other brands still have markings?
In case this is of interest to anyone else, I re-ordered from the Stackpole RMCF0805FT line, and all of them had the resistance values printed on them.
