In June 2011, Skyworks closed its acquisition of SiGe Semiconductor, a leading global supplier of RF front-end solutions for wireless multimedia across a wide range of applications. The acquisition complements Skyworks' leadership in wide area front-end solutions by adding SiGe's innovative short range, silicon-based products. As a result, Skyworks is now able to offer a truly comprehensive wireless networking product portfolio, supporting all worldwide operating frequencies with architectural flexibility to address a variety of existing and emerging high-growth applications.
