This tutorial will cover features of the Flash technology that Renesas has developed and explain how the on-chip Flash is implemented and how it operates. This module will also describe the various ways designers can program the Flash and offer helpful hints for designs based on H8S MCUs with on-chip Flash memory, also referred to as “Flash MCUs.” To benefit the most from this material in the module, the customer should be familiar with microcontrollers in general and understand basic issues related to the design and development of embedded control systems.
