TI introduces isolated DC/DC converter for low-noise 2-W power supplies.
The TPS55010 is a transformer driver designed to provide isolated power for isolated interfaces, such as RS-485 and RS-232, from 3.3V or 5V input supply.
The device uses fixed frequency current mode control and half bridge power stage with primary side feedback to regulate the output voltage for power levels up to 2W. The switching frequency is adjustable from 100 kHz to 2000 kHz so solution size, efficiency and noise can be traded off. The switching frequency is set with a resistor or is synchronized to external clock using the RT/CLK pin. To minimize inrush currents, a small capacitor is connected to the SS pin. The EN pin is used as an enable pin or to increase the default input UVLO voltage from 2.6V.
The TPS55010EVM-009 is a fully assembled and tested circuit for evaluating the TPS55010 Isolated DC/DC Converter with Integrated FETs. The TPS55010EVM-009 uses fixed frequency current mode control and a half bridge power stage with primary side feedback to regulate the output voltage for power levels up to 2W.

DAC7678 -
Texas Instruments' DAC7678EVM provides an easy way to evaluate the functionality and performance of their low power, high resolution, 8- to 12-bit series of DACs
Texas Instruments' DAC7678EVM is designed to evaluate the DAC7678, DAC5578, DAC6578, or DAC7578 digital-to-analog converters (DACs). By default, the DAC7678EVM is available with the DAC7678 installed but can be replaced with any one of the other pin compatible devices. The EVM provides a quick and easy way to evaluate the functionality and performance of the low power, high resolution, 8- to 12-bit series of DACs. A two-wire I²C interface header is used to easily attach the SCL and SDA pins from the DAC to any host microprocessor or TI DSP based system. By default, the DAC7678EVM is designed to work with an onboard external reference, but can be easily modified to use the DAC internal reference (in the case of the DAC7678) by changing a jumper setting and enabling the internal reference through software. The EVM comes equipped with an installed REF5040 precision reference voltage to provide +4.096 VDC and can be replaced with any pin compatible REF50xx family of parts allowing a variety of reference values.

DAC7592 & DAC8562 Evaluation Modules
The DAC7562EVM and DAC8562 are designed for the prototyping and evaluation of the DAC7562, DAC8162, DAC8562, DAC7563, DAC8163, or DAC8563 digital to analog converter. These 12/14/16-bit, reset to zero scale or midscale, string DACs are featured in a very small 10-pin QFN package and include an internal reference with very low temperature drift characteristics. The EVM gives access to every pin of the converter which enables the DACs serial interface header to easily attach to any host microprocessor or TI DSP base system. The DAC includes a precise 2.5V internal reference voltage and the evaluation board includes an external +2.5V. The two reference options are selectable using onboard jumpers and setting the DAC itself appropriately. The EVM also has the ability to highlight using the DAC in bipolar applications by installing a few resistors and an op amp.

Infrared Thermopile Sensor in Ultra Small Chipscale Package
The TMP006 is the first in a series of temperature sensors that measure the temperature of an object without the need to make contact with the object. This sensor uses a thermopile to absorb the infrared energy emitted from the object being measured and uses the corresponding change in thermopile voltage to determine the object temperature. Infrared sensor voltage range is specified from –40°C to +125°C to enable use in a wide range of applications. Low power consumption along with low operating voltage makes the part suitable for battery-powered applications. The low package height of the chip-scale format enables standard high volume assembly methods, and can be useful where limited spacing to the object being measured is available.
