Modular UPS

Modular UPS solution

A modular UPS solution consists of a power supply, a UPS - as the UPS control unit - and the UPS BATTERY energy storage device. Many different UPS options are available. MINI UPS and TRIO UPS combine a power supply and UPS control unit in the same housing. Only the battery is connected separately. STEP UPS consists of a UPS control unit and a LiPo-based rechargeable battery in the same housing.

MINI UPS – compact and with comprehensive signaling

MINI UPSMINI UPS is used in applications where space-saving solutions with a maximum of 24 V DC and 2 A nominal current or 12 V DC and 4 A nominal current are required.

Practical example: before the entrance to a tunnel, there are signs indicating speed restrictions. The triangular prisms of the variable message signs are driven by a 24 V DC motor.

MINI UPS supplies these with 3 A at the switch-on moment. It then moves to the desired output position in five seconds with 1.5 A nominal current. In order to ensure traffic safety, the signs must assume a neutral display position in the event of power failure.

TRIO UPS – autonomous and time saving

TRIO UPSTRIO UPS is designed specifically for supplying industrial PCs. This results in two important advantages:

  • Autonomous – in the event of AC mains failure, the industrial PC continues operating without interruption
  • Time saving – when the supply voltage is restored, the industrial PC starts automatically

The UPS-CONF-TRIO software can be used to optimally adapt the behavior of the UPS to your specific circumstances. For example, the end-of-charge voltage of the power storage device can be modified.

TRIO UPS for 24 V DC output voltage works with 1.3 Ah to 12 Ah UPS BAT rechargeable battery modules.
