Freescale MCUs build on the existing Kinetis K2x and K6x families
Freescale announces Kinetis K24, K63, and K64 sub-families that will offer up to 1 MB Flash and up to 256 KB SRAM. These MCUs build on the existing Kinetis K2x and K6x families. The K24/K63/K64 MCUs are Cortex-M4-based MCUs with Floating-Point-Unit up to 120 MHz. The devices have 256 KB SRAM and 1 MB of Flash, are best-in-class for low-power applications, and have the lowest power mode down to 340 nA. The parts also feature full-retention low-power mode down to 6 μa with wake up in 5 μs, run current down to 250 μa/MHz executing from Flash, and are cost optimized with new USB crystal-less capability. The K64 family has Ethernet and USB, compared to the K63 family which has Ethernet, USB, and high security, while the K24 has USB.
