Vishay Intertechnology introduces the industry’s first green, RoHS-compliant (without any exemptions) thick film rectangular chip resistor. Offering a completely lead-free resistor body with pure tin solder contacts and a metal glaze on high-quality ceramic. The RCG e3 is AEC-Q200 qualified and provides stability of 1% for 1,000 hours at 70°C in three case sizes.
Currently, exemption #5 in the RoHS compliance procedure allows for lead (Pb) in the resistor body. However, to provide an environmental protection level above the current RoHS requirements, designers need to utilize green, RoHS Compliant products without any exemption. The RCG e3 allows designers to meet the tough demand for completely lead-free thick film resistors in consumer, computer, automotive, industrial, and telecom equipment.
Available in the 0603, 0805, and 1206 case sizes, the RCG e3 offers TCR of ±100 ppm/K and ±200 ppm/K, a resistance range from 1 Ω to 10 MΩ and 0 Ω jumper, and resistance tolerance of ±1% and ±5%. The device features rated power dissipation from 0.100 W to 0.250 W and an operating voltage range of 75 V to 200 V.
