In line with the advancing development of electronically controlled vehicles, placement environment of ECU (Electric Control Unit) is diversifying from inside the passenger compartment to outside the compartment, and to the engine room.

An ECU (Engine ECU) mounted inside or near the engine room is exposed to engine heat when driving, and sometimes it is exposed to severely cold temperature in cold regions. Capacitors mounted on ECU are therefore required not only to maintain thermal stability at high temperature range, but also to possess stable ESR characteristics at low temperature range around -40°C. In addition, it is necessary for the engine ECU to ensure high quality for its function of controlling the overall driving systems.

The MHJ series will fulfill such requirements, with 2000 hours operation at 125°C, rated voltage of 10 to 35 V, and ESR value specified after endurance test. The MHJ series will be best used under the high temperature environment of automotive electronics applications.
