Image of Triad Magnetics' VPP Series Power TransformerTriad Magnetics VPP series is a dual primary and secondary, dual bobbin design transformer with an insulated shroud, both made of high temperature material that exceeds UL flammability requirements. The VPP series operates with either a parallel input of 115 V or a series input of 230 V. The output voltage will be either 16.0 V at 1.25 A load with the secondaries wired in series, or 8.0 V under a 2.5 A load with the secondaries wired in parallel. Since the dual bobbin construction effectively reduces capacitance, electrostatic shielding is not required.
