The device is able to drive an external N-channel FET which makes it useful for various LED power levels. The 100 mV voltage feedback minimizes the power losses and provides an accurate current control loop. A unique, true PWM dimming control is implemented with a MOSFET connected between the LED string and ground. The IC features low power consumption (3 mA typical) which makes it suitable for power sensitive applications. STLDC08 is available in DFN10 3 x 3 mm package.
