Gigabit Ethernet requires that the protection device has extremely low capacitance, so as not to cause the degradation of the Ethernet signal. The SLVU2.8 family provides a typical capacitance of 1.5pF, which is one of the best available in the market today. There are two devices in this family: SLVU2.8-4A1 (protects 4 lines) and SLVU2.8-8A1 (protects 8 lines).
