ROHM's TRR series of chip resistors utilizes a special structure especially designed to prevent sulfur penetration, eliminating failures due to silver sulfide. ROHM's anti-sulfur chip resistors feature a unique internal structure that offers high tolerance to sulfuric environments. Cost is controlled by ROHM through the use of common materials such as silver (Ag), nickel (Ni), and tin (Sn), while eliminating gold (Au) - which is often used in other sulfur tolerant chip resistors.
The TRR series from ROHM features an operating temperature range of -55°C to +155°C. Accelerated testing shows the lifetime of the TRR series will exceed 90 years.
