These controllers can accommodate wide ranges of implementations due to their increased sensitivity and specialized feature sets.

When using an I²C protocol, devices require separate addresses as no chip select line is available. In order to use two MPR03x devices in the same system, the MPR031 and MPR032 are each available where different I²C addresses are assigned to each part number. Thus, in a final system, four to six electrodes can be achieved by putting one of each of these on the same I²C bus without requiring extra communication lines or specialized hardware.
