Semiconductor Modules

Devices or groupings of devices that contain individual circuits and provide a single function. These devices are built with materials that have an electrical conductivity that falls between the conductivity of a conductor and an insulator.

FETs FETs A semiconductor device or grouping of devices, each with three terminals, where the current flow through the device is controlled by an electric field. The items in this family are most often designed to be chassis mounted. FET is short for Field Effect Transistor.

Diodes, Rectifiers Diodes, Rectifiers A semiconductor device or grouping of devices, each with two terminals, that tends to allow the flow of electricity in one direction and restrict the flow of electricity in the other direction. The items in this family are most often designed to be chassis mounted.

Transistors Transistors A semiconductor device or grouping of devices, each with three terminals, that are used to switch or amplify signals. Bipolar junction transistors are designed as a NPN or PNP style.

Triacs Triacs A multilayer semiconductor device or grouping of devices, each with three terminals, that allows the flow of electricity in either direction when it is turned on. The device will continue to allow this flow until the current falls below a specified value. The items in this family are most often designed to be chassis mounted.
