TMCM-1043-KIT Development SystemTMCM-1043-KIT Development System - The intuitive kit is custom designed for use with Trinamic’s highly integrated and fully proven TMCM-1043 stepper motor driver, which is developed for direct mounting on a NEMA 17 motor. Pre-programmed and pre-configured with all operating parameters to support standard 1.5A (peak) motors, the TMCM-1043 board uses Trinamic´s single-axis TMC2660 stepper motor driver IC, which integrates a motor pre-driver and power MOSFETs. TMCL

TRINAMIC Motion Control Language (TMCL) was developed to simplify the design of motion control applications. By abstracting the control details of motor movement, velocities and positioning into a high-level language, TRINAMIC has eliminated most of the tedium of motor control development, while also enhancing the comprehension, reliability and testability of motion control software.

TMCL can be used to create software for implementation on either a host controller, or for storage on an EEPROM and implementation as stand-alone code on a TRINAMIC motion control IC. Using a series of nine byte commands similar to Assembler, TMCL enables rapid implementation of real-time control algorithms. The need to calculate and specify low-level step and direction sequences is eliminated through the use of TMCL.

The TMCL command set has been kept deliberately concise to enhance adoption and ease-of-use. Using simple mnemonics, like Move to Position (MVP), Rotate Right (ROR) and Motor Stop (MST), developers can quickly implement, confirm and edit a complex series of motion controls. All commands can be applied to an individual axis in a multi-axis system. Parameters for individual axes—like maximum current and maximum positioning speed—can be easily specified via commands like Set Axis Parameter (SAP). TMCL also includes standard program control instructions, like Jump and Compare, to control program flow.

The TMCL IDE provides a simple PC-based environment to develop and debug code. The IDE assembles and converts code text into binary commands for download and execution on the target controller or motion control IC.
