Microsemi SoC - Microsemi SoC is a leading provider of programmable semiconductor solutions differentiated by power, security, reliability, and performance. Products include the first device to integrate an ARM® Cortex™-M3 Microprocessor subsystem and programmable Analog blocks with a flash based, "instant on" FPGA fabric. Using the available Libero SoC and SoftConsole design tools, Microsemi SoC offers a design flow that covers both your Programmable Logic and Software development needs. Microsemi is a publicly held company (NASDAQ: MSCC) headquartered in Aliso Viejo, Calif., and has approximately 3,000 employees globally.
|SmartFusion2 Starter Kit - Microsemi's SmartFusion2 Starter Kit provides designers with access to SmartFusion2 system-on-chip (SoC) FPGAs, which integrate inherently reliable. Flash-based FPGA fabric; a 166 MHz ARM Cortex-M3 processor; advanced security processing accelerators; DSP blocks; SRAM; eNVM; and industry-required, high-performance communication interfaces all on a single chip.
|SmartFusion2 SoC FPGA - Microsemi SoC’s next-generation SmartFusion2 SoC FPGAs are the only devices that address fundamental requirements for advanced security, high reliability and low power in critical industrial, military, aviation, communications and medical applications. SmartFusion2 integrates an inherently reliable flash-based FPGA fabric, a 166 megahertz (MHz) ARM® Cortex™-M3 processor, advanced security processing accelerators, DSP blocks, SRAM, eNVM, and industry-required high-performance communication interfaces all on a single chip.
|SmartFusion™ cSoCs - Microsemi's SmartFusion customizable system-on-chip (cSoC) is the only device that integrates an FPGA, ARM® Cortex™-M3, and programmable analog. Based on a proprietary flash process, SmartFusion cSoCs are ideal for hardware and embedded designers who need a true system-on-chip (SoC) solution that gives more flexibility than traditional fixed-function microcontrollers, without the excessive cost of traditional FPGAs or the high barriers of entry to an ASIC.
Tools and Software
Libero System on Chip (SoC) and Libero Integrated Design Environment (IDE) Microsemi are comprehensive software toolset for designing with Microsemi FPGAs, including Microsemi's new SmartFusion® family, the world's only customizable SoC with hard-wired ARM® Cortex™-M3 and programmable analog.
SoftConsole is Actel's free software development environment that enables the rapid production of C and C++ executables for Actel FPGAs using Cortex™-M3, Cortex-M1, and Core8051s. Creating a project inside SoftConsole lets you write software that is immediately compiled into a usable binary. SoftConsole includes a fully integrated debugger that offers easy access to memory contents, registers, and single-instruction execution.
