Officially, Kaltman Creations LLC started in November 2006. However, its real beginnings go back to the mid 1970's when Mark Kaltman started a recording studio in Portland, Oregon. The studio was part of the 70's controversial Home Recording Studio movement, during a time when commercial recording studios were beginning to feel threatened by the emergence of the high-end, home based recording studio. The number of home based professional recording studios back then probably only numbered in the hundreds, and Kaltman's recording studio was right there at the forefront.
Kaltman's professional and practical audio experience also extended into the live touring segment where for several years he toured with major recording artists in the capacities of FOH Engineer, Monitor Engineer, and Production Manager. For his audio engineering expertise, he has received both Gold and Platinum albums along with various other recognitions and credits. Kaltman's technical expertise extends beyond the field of audio engineering as he is a holder of a General Class FCC license w/ Radar endorsement, a bachelors degree in electronics engineering and has authored the book, Start-Up Tactics for the Small Business (BookSurge Publishing).
