Our History dates from the earliest days of electronics. The Wirt Company was founded in 1904 by Charles Wirt, an associate of Thomas Alva Edison. CW Industries has developed patented products and processes for several segments of the electronics industry. These products include slide, rocker and pushbutton switches, insulation displacement connectors, and a variety of custom products.
Our fully integrated manufacturing facilities permit us to control the conversion of raw materials to finished product. In addition to engineering our core designs and patented features, we mold, stamp, and plate in-house virtually every component used in each of our products. Less...

 | | GC-536 Series Pushbutton Switches - CW Industries' miniature GC-536 pushbutton switches are new and very economical. They feature simple and fast mounting with a unique range of termination options. The patented positive switching action eliminates accidental switching, and their compact size makes these switches ideal for a wide variety of low voltage devices, including automotive applications. This series of SPDT pushbuttons are available with ratings of 3 A at 14 VDC and 1 A at 125 VAC. They are also available in a soft touch version.

The Wirt Company was founded in 1904 by Charles Wirt, an associate of Thomas Alva Edison. Wirt pioneered the development of wire wound potentiometers, fixed wire wound resistors, automotive spark suppressors and slide switches.  At the same time, engineers at Continental Carbon, Inc., were creating basic processes for manufacturing carbon composition resistors, metal film resistors and carbon film resistors.
